We know the decision to drive after a drink or two is not always the wisest. Solutions Insurance Group was founded on the idea that 'Good People Can Make Bad Decisions'. I know because I've done it! I don't know a soul that hasn't.
That doesn't change the fact of being caught. The humiliation of doing the 'Roadside Macarena'. Having your hands cuffed behind you for that exciting ride in the back of a police cruiser. Followed by pictures and fingerprints at the station. That is the beginning of entry into a system that treats you like a serial killer. This system seemed vague, ambiguous, expensive and with no clear direction of what to do next. For me, that was May 5th 1996. Unfortunately this was not my first time. I hope to always remember it as my last time.

Ronald Hatfield
Growing up as the son of an alcoholic, I was no stranger to the problems of DUI traffic offenses. Back then the traffic laws were more lenient concerning drinking and driving. Through the years those laws have most certainly changed. During my life, first my brother, then my wife became alcoholics so I have become very sensitive to the problems that alcohol and driving present.
Entering the insurance business in 1984, I found that virtually all insurance companies tried to avoid insuring people who had one or more DUI charges. I found that most companies would either severely raise the rate, or cancel the driver entirely, leaving the driver no alternative.
This is why we started our agency. We believe that our clients have suffered enough with fines, penalties, and the legal process, after a DUI traffic offense charge. Our goal is to help our clients get through a tough and humiliating experience as easily and as affordably as possible. As insurance professionals, we know there are insurance companies that will give auto and life insurance to individuals that have been charged with a DUI offense. They will do it affordably because they know you are a quality person who has made a bad choice.

Randy Schueneman
Randy Schueneman, born in 1958, began accumulating SR22's at age 17. That was for one of my major obsessions at that age� SPEED! That continued more on than off for the next 25 years. My old insurance agent used to say I 'was helping put his kids through college.' I just couldn't figure it out!
I was responsible in other ways. A good son and brother. A successful manager at Nordstom and 'Customer Service All-star' winner. Then on to become a member of the 'Presidents Roundtable' in the marketing department of Washington Natural Gas. Because I drove company vehicles with a self insured company I had more than one heart to heart conversation with immediate supervisors because of my 'notable' driving record. With a pretty wife and two boys, I was a young husband and father who drove like the world was my racetrack.
By age 38 I had 'earned' my third DUI. One in high school, one in college and then a third! I was employed by a major insurance company, who wouldn't touch a driver like me with a 10 foot pole. Then I began working providing SR22's for drivers like I was. I and my business associates have had some pretty negative experiences as a direct result of having alcohol in our lives. We know firsthand.
As I've stated on another page, 'Good people sometimes make bad decisions'. I finally came to the realization that I can start over. My third DUI gave me that starting point for making better decisions and getting my life back on track.
Solutions Insurance Group was founded on this idea. I applaud anyone who can step up to the plate and look at this as a learning experience.
